Welcome to the Indonesia Solar Expo - Indonesia International Exhibition and Forum for Solar Power, Photovoltaic Technology, Renewable Energy, Clean Technology, Sustainability, and Energy Efficiency Solution. The 3 days main industry event (in integrating with 3rd Indonesia Building Mechanical & Electrical Expo and Indonesia Smart Building Smart City) is set to display full spectrum of products, technology, energy efficiency, and solutions for home, city, and building.
“It is expected that the number of skyscrapers in Jakarta to double by 2018 as developers tap into the booming demand for property. And within the next 5 - 10 years, Jakarta will be among the top of 20 ASIA City.”
Indonesia with over 240 million populations is the world’s 4th largest economy, the biggest market in Southeast Asia and accounts as the fastest growing economy after China and India. In times of uncertainty of the Europe and the US economy, Indonesia remains one of the world's strong, promising emerging market due to its large domestic demand.
The rapid growth of Indonesia’s economy has increased the demand for building offces and accelerated expansion, among others, in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, shopping centres, hospitality, and automotive production-base. This in turn multiplied the demand for better lift and elevator solutions, building mechanical electrical products, and innovative energy ecient products.

Indonesia has 10 times more solar power potential than Germany, Japan, and USA. The National Energy Policy targets that by 2025 the national energy mix of 23 percent will come from renewable energy. In fact, the ESDM Ministry has an ambitious target implementation of PLTS of 6.4 GWp by 2025.
The Demand for solar energy in Indonesia is continue to grow as the country has potential solar energy resources reaching 5.1 kWh/m2 per day. The government is poised to tap this infinite energy source and solve the ever-growing energy needs of Indonesia which is expected to reach an equal of 400 million ton of fuel oil in 2015, and through Presidential Instruction Perpres No. 5/2006, launched that 0.2 - 0.3 percent of national energy mix should comefrom solar energy or equal to 1,000 MWp by 2025. It means an addition of 65 MW per Year. The Ministry of Energy and Mining Resources has set a target to produce 50 megawatts of solar power in 2014, a total of US$ 1.897 billion of investment is needed to reachthe target. For 2013 alone the government has set aside $103 million for the developement of 36 solar energy projects.
